Arkansas to Join Powerball Family Before End of 2009

America’s newest lottery state, Arkansas, will be joining the family of Powerball states before the end of the year, state officials said.

The lottery hasn’t even launched yet.

Normally, states begin with scratch games and one or two online games.

Arkansas wants in on the big money as soon as possible.

I’ll interview the director next week, so stay tuned for more inside info.

There was no jackpot winner in the July 3 Mega Millions game, so the big prize rolls to $133 million on July 7.

The July 4 Powerball jackpot is $25 million.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY to all you Americans out there.

And good luck players, around the world.
