A Gilmer County, Georgia, woman has received the surprise of her life.

Julia Slaughter of Ellijay won $50,000 playing the popular Georgia Lottery instant game Jumbo Bucks Classic. Jumbo indeed.

The 20-year-old purchased her winning ticket in Ellijay.

I almost fainted, Slaughter said. I feel awesome.

Well, duh. After scratching the winning ticket in her car, she first shared the good news with her mother.

Slaughter wants to use her winnings toward enrolling in college since she has an interest in going into the medical field.
