Georgia Player “Repairs” His Finances, Wins $5,000,000 Playing a Scratch Card

A self-employed tire repairman from Rydal is driving off with a Georgia Lottery win. Michael Collum, 55, won a $5 million top prize playing the instant game Super Millions.

I just stopped and bought a couple of tickets, Collum said. I was shocked more than anything else.

I saw all of those zeroes rolling out of there, Collum recalled. I scratched it in the store.

The grandfather of eight said he’s happy as two or three larks.

Besides his grandchildren, Collum has five adult children with his wife, Janice. He has no plans at the moment for his lottery win but will consider semi-retiring.

I’m going to take it slowly to see what’s what, he shared. It’s very life changing.

You betcha.

And for the better.

Congratulations, dude.
