Amusement Park Supervisor is $1,000,000 Richer, Thanks to Powerball

Ever been to Six Flags Over Georgia?

It’s a great, fun amusement park. So I was pretty happy to learn that someone who worked there…a supervisor no less, won $1 million playing Powerball.

Matthew Starks of Lithonia, Georgia, matched the first five winning numbers in the drawing, but not the Powerball, good for the game’s second prize.

By selecting the Power Play option for $1, Starks increased his prize from $200,000 to $1 million.

Winning numbers from the Powerball drawing were: 3-5-18-27-54 and the Powerball was 13. Starks Quick Picked, and WON.

So he owes a lot of thanks to the computer that spit out the winning numbers.

I won $35 from the Mega Millions drawing and used some of that to buy this ticket, he shared.

The boost for winning the prize, Starks said, was the amount. I’ll be paying off bills and helping my daughter through college, he exclaimed. Starks, 57, shared the good news with his wife, Wanda, on her birthday Tuesday.
