Shirley Fauntleroy of Caret, Virginia, was shopping for school clothes for her grandson when she bought a little something for herself: a $120 Million Cash Blowoutticket from the Virginia Lottery.
When she scratched it, she saw that it was no ordinary ticket.
I knew it had to be something, she later told Virginia Lottery officials.
It was something indeed!
She won the game’s top prize of $1 million over 25 years.
She had the choice of taking the full prize or a one-time cash option of $564,000 before taxes. She chose the cash option.
What would YOU do…take the annuity or the cash NOW?
[My book, of course, offers up some options…]
