A Desloge, Missouri, man has his three sons partly to thank for selecting the winning numbers from the Missouri Lottery’s Show Me Cash drawing on Oct. 23.

Why is that?

Let me explain.

Larry Upchurch, 71, used a combination of his and his children’s birthdays to match all five numbers drawn:  3, 5, 11, 13 and 29.

The feat enabled Upchurch to pocket a $50,500 prize.

I’m thanking the good Lord, because it really helped me out, said Upchurch, who added that he plans to pay up a few bills with the windfall.

Congratulations from lotterymoments.
