Disabled U.S. Marine Wins $250,000; Says, “It Was Just My Time”

What would YOU do?

Dennis Toles didn’t jump and down or yell when he discovered he’d won $250,000 in Mega Millions. He took it all in stride. [More than I would do, dude.]

It was my time, he said.

The Virginia Beach man matched the first five numbers in the February 17 Mega Millions drawing to win the game’s second prize.

He bought the winning ticket in Virginia Beach. He used Easy Pick and allowed the computer to randomly select the numbers on his ticket.

Toles’ ticket was the only one in Virginia to win $250,000 in that drawing, and one of just six nationwide.

The disabled Marine veteran said he hopes to use his winnings to pay off his mortgage.
