New father and 19-year-old Christopher Skaggs of Ingalls, Ind., says winning $100,000 from the Hoosier Lottery is wild.
I’m in shock, said Skaggs as he waited for his winnings at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis Wednesday. It’s wild, especially being 19 years old.
The self-employed mechanic hopes to use his winnings to purchase a house, providing he can find one with a suitable garage. The money comes at a great time for the new father.
I’ve got a four month old and I’ve fought all my life to make money, said Skaggs. This means a lot.
Skaggs said he considers himself fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time. His top prize winning Cash Bonus Scratch-off was bought by chance in Pendleton.
Thank you, said Skaggs. I’m happy things are gonna change.
