This year’s Fourth of July was the best yet for a Minnesota man and his family.

Ron Walm’s trip to the supermarket for more potato salad and buns for his Fourth of July barbeque led to an unexpected surprise ” after checking his Northstar Cash scratch ticket from July 3, he discovered that the ninth line of his 10-line quick-pick ticket matched all five winning numbers to win $88,874!

I couldn’t believe it, he recalled. I just thought “You’ve got to be kidding me!’

Walm immediately went home to deliver the good news.

It was so nice to be able to share it with the family, he said. We’ve had some good ones in the past, but this was probably the best Fourth yet!
