A U.K. friend emailed me a great story about a music shop owner from Haverhill, Suffolk who hit the Euromillions jackpot of £148 million, vowed to keep his life as is and has done just that.
So let’s hear it for Adrian Bayford, who has actually been true to his word, and is still getting up every morning and opening his music shop.
But I guess he won’t have to worry about paying his rent.
Hell, he could buy the building.
Bayford, 41, built the Suffolk Music Centre from a market stall, runs the business with partner Richard Hudspith.
Loves his job: Euromillions winner Adrian Bayford back at work at his high street music store despite his £148m fortune
He is officially the 516th richest person in Britain after his win.
One shopper said: ‘When I was in there he was carrying boxes and breaking boxes down. “He was behind the counter it just seemed perfectly normal, he’s obviously such a nice guy.” ‘There were a couple of local kids in there. They seemed to be chewing the fat.
Pretty cool, huh?
