A Cedar Rapids, Iowa woman thinks there’s definitely something behind all the good luck she’s had this month playing the lottery.
“I think I’ve got some guardian angels or someone looking down on me, giving me some good luck,” Jamie Meyers said as she claimed a $100,000 prize at the Iowa Lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids.
It was her second trip to the lottery in a week. She had just visited the office on Friday to claim a $50,000 prize in the $5 “Super Crossword” instant-scratch game.
Meyers, 31, who works as a child care provider, has now also claimed the second of nine top prizes of $100,000 available in the lottery’s $10 “Cash Inferno” scratch game.
As she did with her $50,000-winning ticket, Meyers said she played her $100,000 winner at home.
