Keys to Success: Luck, and Picking a Million Dollar Winning Scratch Card

Ryan Keys of Dumfries, Virginia, knew he was a million-dollar winner when he scratched the last row of his Million Dollar Cash Bonanza ticket. What did he do next?

He used social media and posted,I’m a millionaire, to let his friends know about his big win.

Keys,a wrecker dispatcher, was on his way to work when he stopped and bought the ticket at a Dumfries convenience store.

He had a choice of taking the full $1 million over 25 years or a one-time cash option of $653,000 before taxes.

He chose the cash option.
