When Bennie Goggins realized his Virginia Lottery Cash 5 ticket matched all five winning numbers, he had a little trouble convincing his wife it was the real deal.

I was excited. She wasn’t, the Colonial Heights, Virginia man said.

The ticket that he bought won the $100,000 top prize in the July 23 Cash 5 day drawing.

He selected the numbers on his ticket using family birthdays.

Goggins said he had no immediate plans for the winnings, although he might look for a new automobile.

It feels great! he said.

And so it should.
