Alexander Ridley of Spring Grove decided to splurge on some instant games while buying gas.

After purchasing three non-winning tickets, he decided to keep playing.

He chose the last two tickets in the Pennsylvania Millionaire’s Club pack of tickets.

The rent was paid and the grocery shopping was done, and something was saying let’s go for it and take this chance, he said.

Scratching the tickets in the car with his wife, Denise, he saw he had a matching number and revealed the prize. He initially thought he’d won $1,000, but his wife looked at the ticket and said, No, there’s too many zeros — you won $100,000!

Alexander plans to use the money to pay off his car and bills, and take his grandson to Disney World.
