A winning Georgia Lottery instant ticket with a $275,000 top prize was sold in Ellijay, an EZ Grand instant ticket with a $275,000 top prize.

The winner, Albert Douglas of Ellijay, claimed his prize in early May.

Retired from Lockheed Martin, Douglas scratched the ticket while in the store. He considers the windfall unbelievable.

It’s a great feeling. It really is, he said. I’ll probably pay off a few bills I have and do a little traveling.

Douglas, 73, also intends to invest.

Life has been really good to me, and I enjoy life, he shared.
