After 45 years of employment at a New Britain, Connecticut convenience store  Anna Teti will be trading in her job for an early retirement, all thanks to her timely claim of a jackpot winning Conn. Lottery ticket for a cool $5.2 million.

I had the winning (Lotto) ticket in my wallet for over a week and didn’t even know it, the New Britain resident said. I went on break at work, and decided to scan my tickets in the Ticket Checker. When I did, it said, “Go to Lottery Headquarters.’

Not fully understanding the meaning of the message, Teti gave her ticket to the clerk at the customer service counter to have it scanned by the Lottery terminal.
She printed out a receipt that said I had a 6 of 6 number match and won the jackpot. I was totally shocked”and then I went back to work!

That’s mind freeze. Now, she’s retiring.
