A lucky player in the UK has scooped a massive $1.1m (£840,000) prize after betting on the US Powerball game by participating in the World Lottery Club, the online secondary lottery service run by Annexio in the Isle of Man.
This is not readily available to U.S. players, by the way. [Although it should be.]
The man, aged 30, who has not been named, lives in the Bolton area and would have been in line to pick up an incredible $332m if he had matched one more winning number.
This enormous jackpot rolled over with a potential $478m (£332m) prize up for grabs at the Powerball draw last Saturday. It was won by a ticket holder in New Hampshire.
Annexio™s World Lottery Club allows players to bet online on the outcomes of some of the world™s biggest lotteries, including those outside their own country of residence, with winnings matching the official prize tiers available in those lotteries.
Launched in 2015, the site has quickly become a favourite with lottery players. As well as the US Powerball, World Club Lottery players can bet on the outcomes of MegaMillions, EuroMillions and other national lotteries such as the Australian, Swedish and Polish Lotteries.
